- If no host faculty member can be found, the program may have to be cancelled.
- If available, students are responsible for all travel expenses.
What is an exchange student?
Students from exchange partner universities are divided into “special auditing students” and “special research students” at Ehime University. Special Auditing Students” are students who attend classes and cannot become auditing students in order to obtain a “College Student” visa. Special Research Students” are students who conduct research without the purpose of earning credits, and their term of study is one year or less, with renewal possible within one year in principle.

About Language Requirements
- Exchange students must have the language ability to communicate with the host faculty.As a general rule, the language must be either Japanese (JLPT N3 or equivalent) or English (CEFR A2 or equivalent).In the case of English, the number of teachers who can accept students will be reduced.
- In principle, students are required to have Japanese language proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 or higher in order to take specialized courses at the undergraduate/graduate level.
- If your Japanese language skills are not sufficient, you will mainly take Japanese language classes provided by the Organization for the Promotion of International Collaboration.Ehime University will not issue credits, but an official transcript will be issued in the name of the Vice President.

Certificates, etc. according to the method of payment of study abroad expenses
- The person pays the expenses→Certificate of balance of the account in his/her name
- A person other than the applicant is responsible for the expenses→A certificate of the balance of the account in the name of the person who is responsible for the expenses and a letter of reimbursement

A letter of reasons stating that you will return to your home country to study after the exchange period and the expected date of graduation (if you will graduate within 3 months after the end of the exchange period. Ehime University has decided to ask you to submit a health certificate and a medical questionnaire in order to check your health condition in preparation for your future life as a student.Please take a moment to fill out the attached form and submit it to Ehime University.The health certificate must be valid within 2 months prior to enrollment.

- When making a recommendation, please send a list of recommenders by e-mail along with the admission application materials submitted by the recommendee.(List of recommenders)
- Please note that we cannot accept students who are expected to graduate from their home universities during their exchange period at TUFS, so please take this into consideration when making your recommendation.
- Students in their graduation year may be accepted if they will study at the sending institution for at least 3 months after the end of the exchange period (if this is difficult, please contact us).
- Please note that we may not be able to accept nominees depending on their language level.
