Miyuki Student Housing
The dormitory is located in a quiet residential area about 2 km west of the main university campus, and is only a 10-minute bicycle ride to the university.
The dormitory facilities are of reinforced concrete construction and have been kept clean, with renewal work just completed at the end of March 2011.
The building consists of four wings (A, B, C, and D), and 70 of the 472 private rooms are allocated to international students. The rooms are private rooms equipped with a bath, toilet, mini-kitchen, refrigerator, desk, bed, air conditioner, etc. The entrance is equipped with a security system. Each room is wired for Internet access, and if you sign a contract (for a fee) with a designated company, you can use the Internet at a low cost.
For laundry, there is a coin-operated laundry in the dormitory (200 yen per time).

International House
The International House is an exclusive housing facility for international students and researchers admitted to TMDU. There are 30 single rooms and 4 family rooms, as well as a Japanese-style room, a library, and a lounge.

Joint liability
Ehime University International Exchange and Cooperation Service for Students (AINECS) accepts joint guarantors for apartment lease contracts for international students (conditions apply). International students who wish to use this system should come to the office in the International Cooperation Division for consultation before applying to the real estate agency.
Terms
- Must be enrolled as a student (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, or research student) at Ehime University.
- The status of residence must be “College Student”. (= Eligibility requirements for enrollment in Comprehensive Compensation for Foreign Student Housing)
- (The student must be insured under the “Comprehensive Compensation for Foreign Student Housing” insurance policy of the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.
- During the term of the contract, the contractor must follow the instructions of the Ehime University International Exchange and Cooperation Service for Students (AINECS).

When renting an apartment or other private housing, AINECS (Ehime University International Exchange and Cooperation Service) can act as your guarantor on the condition that you join the Comprehensive Housing Insurance for Foreign Students operated by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services Association for International Students. Changing residence
When moving, you must notify both the municipal office of the city, town, or ward where you have lived up to now and the municipal office of the city, town, or ward where you will live in the future. If you are moving from outside Matsuyama City to within Matsuyama City, you must complete the moving-in procedures; if you are moving outside Matsuyama City, you must complete the moving-out procedures. In both cases, bring your resident card and submit the “Notification of Change of Residence” to complete the procedures.
Notification of moving in
If you move from outside Matsuyama City to within Matsuyama City, you must report your move-in at the municipal office of the city, town or ward where your new address is located within 14 days from the date of relocation. In this case, you will need the Moving-out Certificate issued when you completed the moving-out procedures at the municipal office of your previous address.
Notification of moving out
If you move out of Matsuyama City, you are required to report your moving-out. Please report your move-out to the city office and receive a Moving-out Certificate. If you are leaving Japan completely (i.e., not returning to Japan) or if you are leaving your place of residence for more than one year, you must also submit a notification of moving out.
Notification of moving out
If you move within Matsuyama City, you are required to report your change of address. Please report your change of address to the Citizen’s Affairs Section within 14 days of your move. Notification of change of address will be accepted from the date of relocation. If you plan to move, the notification will not be accepted.
When leaving the country
If a resident card holder is leaving Japan without plans to return, the resident card must be returned at the airport or port of departure. The procedure is as follows.
